As a filmmaker and performer raised right here in Redford, my whole life has been about telling stories. But honestly, some of the most meaningful stories aren't the ones on screens or stages—they’re the ones we grow right here in the dirt.

What started as a simple, personal project to honor my family and help out the incredible monarch butterflies has turned into this beautiful community oasis. It’s amazing what happens when you mix a little sustainable landscaping with local art to give neighbors a vibrant place to just hang out, breathe, and connect.

Rehabilitating these spaces isn't just about planting pretty flowers; it's about investing in each other and taking care of the neighborhood that shaped us.
