As a performer, most people know Stevie for his work in front of the camera. However, what most of them don't know is that for years he has actually been working behind it. Growing up he always admired film as the ultimate art form. Film has a way of unifying so many different creative avenues and that process really intrigued him.
Everyone has their tall tale of how they got into film and for him, it was through the sound and audio side. As a performer and specifically a beatboxer, he has always depended on the perfect sound mix when performing. He was always obsessed with ensuring that his levels were just right. He pushed his self to expand his knowledge and capitalize on his passion for sound. He quickly found himself bringing that same obsession to the film set. Good sound is such an important part of the production process and he wanted to make sure that he got it right every time. After hundreds of projects as an in-field sound mixer and fully understanding the entire scope of production, naturally, his creative obsession led him to start helping direct and produce projects while on set.
As he grew and matured in the business he realized how much he loved directing, producing, storytelling, and creating projects by bringing ideas together. From finding the right synergy among crew members to the logistics of gear to the challenges of finding the perfect locations and talent. He loves creative problem solving and the challenges that come within it especially if it is figuring it all out on the fly. He's always creating new content and looking for real-life powerful untold stories to tell.
